During his death match with Hashirama, everyone thought Madara was history. Only to be revived via Izanagi.

This man can certainly use the same jutsu again, no?

No. Its not a jutsu you can spam everytime you die theres a limit. You can use it once. Madara used it with his original eyes against hashirama. He died a second time... with his original eyes. A jutsu like that, that could be spammed would be absolutely haxx. Thered be no possible way of defeating someone like that

Once per eye. Remember the Danzo fight, he used it like 10 times.. :|

So technically he escaped the death however he was mortally wounded badly he needed a will to perform any jutsu so black zetsu played a role here it acted as Madara's will to bring Madara to his consciousness so that he can Bushin jutsu to replace his dead body .

(Misconception: Itachi never transferred his eye power to Sasuke, he only implanted a ONE time transcription seal that was meant to kill Tobi the minute he revealed his Sharingan, it took shape of Itachi's MS... Not Sasuke's soon coming MS.)

OP: He could've used it, but he chose not to... He finally accepted his fate, and that his role in the NV was done... He had a change of heart and accepted death.

But then again, how did he place the slave seal on Rin's heart, and control the Kiri Shinobi? Makes even less sense then transplant the Rinnegan to Nagato.

But, making Hagoromo's chakra gives the Rinnegan so we can conclude that it matters not the eyes before it awakens. Well, that makes it easier to swallow... Lol

Madara could use it as many times as necessary he was blind but when he awoke rinnegan it restored his sight a rinnegan user can use it many fold. Its plot progression kishis had enough.

In case you forgot He fought Kaguya the source of all power in the Ninja world and lost His statues as a Tailed Beast Host of the Juubi. Izanami doesn't work against Kaguya who transcends time and space.
