He probably learnt it from toads of mt. myoboku. He can summon gamabunta remember. I don't think he should have been able to since his chakra reserve isn't that high (a requirement for SM), but clearly he did.

Ahaha ok fair point - he has quite a large reserve. But it's never been mentioned in the manga as being large (like Jiraiya's or Naruto's).

People have to stop saying Minato having Sage Mode was an asspull. It was actually obvious that Minato had it because we already knew his summoning was Toads exactly like Jiraiya.

Minato did teach Jiraiya how to use Rasengan, while Jiraiya learned Minato Sage Mode. Reason why he was surprised when Naruto activated it so quickly was because he never knew Naruto could use Sage Mode as well. Remember, Minato said why Naruto was able to activate Sage Mode like his former sensei Jiraiya, THEN why do people say how Naruto learned his Rasengan exactly like the 4th Hokage?
It means that Sage Mode was Jiraiya's jutsu from the Mount Myoboku, AND Rasengan was Minato's jutsu. It makes sense right?
Jiraiya got inspired by the toads and later learned how to use it, however this is just the same as Minato on how he learned Rasengan by watching 1 Tailed Beast Ball once.

Minato could use Sage Mode = Deal with it.

Jiraya called him a once in a generation genius. So why on earth in all the twenty something years jiraya knew minato, why would he not try to teach minato the sage arts. Minato had plenty of time to learn.

When he says perfect, he's referring to minato being a 'True Sage' like Naruto. This is represented by the sage markings/pigments around the eyes. This means both Naruto and minato were able to perfectly balance the nature energy with their own chakra. And they possess no frog like features either, unlike jiraya who cannot enter sage mode without the help of the elder toads.

It makes no sense to me why people assume they know every ability of a character that's been dead since before the manga even started, and when they introduce a new ability that is totally justifiable they cry asspull. It's just minato hate

How I am supposed to say something wrong? So you are saying you are against the manga facts? Lel, read the manga. AND when did I said Minato Sage Mode was perfect? I mentioned from the manga ( which comes from the facts ) that Jiraiya learned Rasengan from Minato, and Minato learned Jiraiya Rasengan. Please read before you comment.
Minato could use Sage Mode, however he did not maintain it for so long rather than Naruto because he was an Uzumaki with better chakra pool, and don't get me wrong... Jiraiya's Sage Mode wasn't that great because he had to wait until his chakra responded to his Sage jutsu. Fugakau even stated Naruto surpassed Minato and Jiraiya in Sage Mode when he battled Pain. That's a fact, and not an asspull.

Asspull or not, it's pretty f*cking convenient is what it is. Apparently a threat to the whole village does not require the Hokage to use his whole arsenal now? Don't make me laugh, Kishi just hadn't thought of it at that time. Well, we saw how that worked out - he got killed. Not only that, Minato was never even remotely mentioned by the toads when Naruto trained - it was all about Jiraiya.

On top of that, Minato's face is completely normal. The toads specifically said that Naruto was the only one to achieve "perfect" SM, something even Jiraiya couldn't do, evident by his toad-like face. Minato goes completely unmentioned yet again.

On top of all that, Minato asked Naruto if he could borrow Senjutsu from Naruto while they were fighting Juubito (in one of the recent episodes), but a few chapters later... he pulls out SM... for one freaking panel... only to fail. Really?

I still can't decide whether this or Kakashi's PS is a bigger facepalm.

You do realize Naruto chakra reserves is far larger than Minato's?
Though he perfected SM he couldn't hold it for long unlike Naruto.
