How dare they not protect the Captains only son. I know Buggy and shanks were there but neither of them were genuinely trying to save ace like Luffy and WB

They loved their captian so why didnt they protect their captains son.

Shanks was busy in the NW don't you remember there's a reason he came late. Buggy is debatable, don't know if he felt attached to his crew really. Its not like he really cared for ace the same as luffy. I feel they all didn't want to get involved in such a big event, they are pirates with reputations. Whose Scopper?

As soon as Luffy found out he hopped on a boat with a Shichibukai and passed through two gates of justice, got carried by a tsunami for a while and even then got late to the war.

Why is everybody always assuming that it's so easy to travel in the era of boats and ships.

Sabo has to deal with the same shit when people blame him for not being there.

1) Maybe they didn't know about Ace being his son
2) Maybe they didn't read the news
3) Maybe they're already dead
4) Maybe they couldn't get there in time

you say it's unforgivable, but there are plenty of reasons for those guys not to be there at that time.

The sins of the father are not inherited by the son. The opposite side of this coin must also apply, the love the father gained is not inherited by the son either. They loved Roger, they didn't even know Ace.

Mihawk is a Shichi and he actually wanted to participate in the war.

1. Lmao, you expect everyone to make it in time from where ever they were? They're not just chilling near MF, they could be anywhere in the whole wide world. Gettin to MF isn't as easy as you think. They aren't gonna save some random pirate they don't know.

2. Thats not the point though. Why should the old and retired Roger pirates enter a war to rescue a kid who they don't even know? Ace is Whitebeard and his crews responsibility. Saving Ace was their job not Rayleigh's or anyone elses.

Shanks knew Ace personally so he had his reasons to enter and stop the war. He didn't fight, he simply ended it. Ace was freed but it was his own foolishness that caused his death.

You can't blame Rayleigh or Scopper for not joining the war. It wasn't their responsibility+they didn't know Roger had a son.

Even Garp can't be blamed. The moment Ace became a pirate was the moment he started making his own decisions as a man and became a criminal. You can't expect Garp to save him. He did what he could.

So according to you they had to wait before the announcement at the beginning of the war, then hopped in a small sailboat and sail over.

I think he meant that the Gold pirates couldve came if they really wanted to. Why they didnt is beyond my knowledge, probably had their own reasons.

I think the only one to question here is Raleigh.
