That final version of Madara was literally unstoppable, Kishi admitted this himself and in the end he had to resort to trolling so he could stop him.
No one, even Kaguya or Hagoromo wouldn't have been able to stop him.
Forget about power levels, it's all about how you use your powers, not how much you have. Madara's the smartest character in NV, he planned IT for a 100 years and succeded in casting it, now that strategy and planning for you.

if kishi could have black zetsu one-shot that madara from behind, then the problem obviously isn't kishi not being able to write madara being defeated by naruto and sasuke.

The problem is that madara wasn't a powerful enough villain to require naruto, sasuke, DMS obito, DMS rikudou kakashi and sakura's help to defeat.

What if Madara was just created as a way to introduce Kaguya? Let's face it, Obito and Kaguya had more screen time than him, Madara must have not been that important to Kishi.
