Does Naruto need a power-up to beat Sasuke.

I read a many threads and I like to discuss this issue.

Not exactly. Sasuke is on Hagoromo's level while Naruto is on Ashura's level.

Who knows, it seems like Kishi is trying to imply that the natural energy that Naruto has collected/Kurama did, will match Sasuke's bijuu chakra PS power.

Although on paper Sasuke should obliterate Naruto at this point, if they were equals prior to Sasuke's power up.

No, I don't think he does. Naruto's last attack with the natural energy Kurama sent him is designed to use up Sasuke's chakra and probably knock out Sasuke's overpowered tailed beast susanoo. Making it so Sasuke and he have to fight in a manner closer to they were the last time they fought at VOTE.

I believe that's what he means when he says "Fight me. I want to defeat you properly but not the way you are now." and then he launches his attack. This attack is meant to take out the overpowered susanoo so Sasuke can't use it, then they will have to use taijutsu and ninjutsu and regular old ninja tools, which would be more in line with the type of fight Naruto wants them to have.

Thats right. In order for him to talk. You beat him to a pulp. Did Naruto not forshadow this fact already at the kage summit? If they both were to fight, both of them would end up killing each other. That alone equates equality.
