Where did you find the plot for the movie at? Can you provide the link/source? I don't care about Sasuke summoning the moon or not. I just want to read it for myself and see some more of the designs.

What has been released in terms of plot info so far suggests that he won't even have an antagonistic role at all. There was a quote of Sasuke's released somewhere (I don't remember exactly where, I'll edit when I find it) of him saying something like "since he isn't here, I guess I have to protect you".

The moon does not simply leave orbit, thet defies the laws of gravity. Someone is summoning it. The only live person to be able to do so is Sasuke. So end of story.
