Clothings are not generally distrupted by surrounding attacks or effects for "moral" reasons especially in fiction viewed by children. For ex. Chouji's clothes remain the same after him getting enlarged. Book was needed for plot reasons. Author does not think someone might debate all these and just do stuff.

Asides from that gentle fist is not an attack based on firepower, it effects oponent regardless of durability. 3rd raikage and Konohamaru would recieve same treatment from the same taken gentlefist attack. All these tanking feats from Katsuyu are no much relevant.

What? Stop taking things out of context. EVERY Hyuuga uses another's Tenketsu against them, she does it to the extent PS gets destroyed. By no means does that mean she's the only one who can do that against a puddle. Make an argument that Katsuyu no longer has chakra when she's a puddle or stop trying to debate this.
