Observation - NOT another pairing thread

Okay, this is not about pairs. It is just an observation about the NB pairing thread.

The pairing thread has reached 2015 pages with over 50k replies, all since July last year. Have you seen any other thread with that much constant attention from NB members.

It is no wonder that mangas pander to fans with romantic pairings and that Kishimoto trolls shippers. Clearly it gets a lot of attention.

That is all...please resume your normal daily bitc#ing and moaning...

Who said I cared? As the thread stated, it was simply an observation.

Why I noticed is probably because I work in the computer field. My eyes are naturally drawn to things like web traffic patterns and such.

I, for one, am glad for the existence of such a thread. It means all the pairing BS can be dumped into there... truly, a wonderful trash bin.

Being slightly more serious, pairings are just pure fan-service that have no real significance to the plot since the genre of this manga isn't romance. The only pairing that I want to see happening is ShikaTema. The rest is trash.
