Seriously, aside from who's the strongest or whose not, wtf happened to the fights in the manga? It's all about Giants n' colossus entities, continuous spamming of certain abilities, hell even TnJ is now boring!

It's all about Bijuus, Susano'o, Mokutons, n' shit.
Averting from the use of intellectual strategic showdowns, and the wide array of jutsus, and solely depending on destruction and the spam of certain jutsus. The Manga has gone dull. I miss the old fights. Sasuke n' Naruto vs Haku then Zabuza. Sasuke vs Orochimaru (which was badass as f***) Naruto vs Kiba, Lee vs Gaara, Naruto vs Neji nd Sasuke vs Gaara. Naruto vs Gaara. Shika, Kiba, Chouji, Neji vs Sound 4. Neji and Gaara vs Kimimaro. Naruto vs Sasuke in the roof. Naruto vs Sasuke at VOT. Sasuke vs Deidara, and the last epic fight, Naruto vs Pain.

After that the criteria was certain: Shadow clones + Rasengan + Bijuudamas. Didn't work? No problem, try again.
Not to mention the boring Susano'o + Amaterasu + Chidori (which became rarely used).

I know a lot will criticize this and favor the current fights, but that's my humble opinion and am sure a lot agree with me.

To be honest, it became all about fire power in part 2, with the introduction of TBBs. Although it is sad how the focus has become directly related to who has the biggest and fastest nuke.

I coudn't agree more with you. Naruto became to much like DBZ and it completely lost it's ninja feel and tactics and jutsus we seen before.

There will be a taijutsu scene soon, that's why sasuke no longer has his sword, when that giant stuff runs out the real exciting battle begins

Or i at least hope so, fights always looked better with smaller people and straight tai Jutsu

Does having such a sig means that I like the way he fights? I've put it just cause it looks good. That's it.

Yes, lmao...jk, but it wasn't boring, but average.

I was more interested in the words and what sasuke was doing.

i second this, its a shame, naruto should be about ninjas and not about little gods.
I ask myself who is the antagonist in the last when there is no opponent who can handle naruto and sasuke.
I hope the will get a power down after their fight, sasuke disappointed me when he used the power of the beasts, now he is some ugly human susanno zeus...

Once you look past the giant attacks & massive D/C you'll see that the manga still employs the strategy that part 1 had, the only difference now is they're flashier & faster than before.

Imho obito vs kakashi/gai/naruto/bee is still one of my favorite fights in the manga along with itachi vs sasuke & naruto vs pein. Despite the bijuudamas & beasts the fights still retain the core of what they're about, powerlevels just increased [like with all shonen mangas].

I didn't actually like that one. Obito did nothing but Kamui. (My own opinion ;) )

Have you read Kishi's latest interview??
He said that Naruto was never supposed to be about ninjas; initially he had thought about making a manga on magicians or something.
He says he has redefined the term Shinobi. Its still barely related to ninjas. Real ninja mangas are like Ninja scroll, Kouga Ninja etc., but they were never popular....so he had never thought about making a manga on ninjas. He just wanted to write a story about a boy who has this nine tailed demon inside of him.
Also the first page of the manga had hyped kurama to be able to create tsunami with the swing of a tail. So power levels haven't risen that much as compared to other mangas.
Toriko, DB started from wall/building level and now they are star/ Solar system level respectively.
One piece, naruto and Bleach are the only shounen mangas that haven't changed their power levels by that much.
And actually power levels in Naruto started rising only in the last three years after juubi was introduced. Earlier it was very stable. But thats expected out of every shounen manga.
Although I see Naruto being the only one bashed this much for its power levels.

OT: We already saw a lot of strategy against Obito, Madara and Kaguya. We will see some strategy in this fight very soon too. U_U

Obito utilized the jinchuuriki near-perfectly, & gave the fight a first "phase". [ - ]

Then in the 2nd phase obito utilized madara's gumbai, the gedo statue & chakra rods/chains.

& If you include his mask breaking as a 3rd phase then you can add katon, mokuton, & shuriken to that list.

But in any case kamui is a really powerful technique & watching naruto/co. trying to figure out how to counter it was more interesting than watching a character use a multitude of jutsus.

I know, but they mainly were about bijuus, susano'o, and dimension shifting...

Minato vs Kurama was the prologue.

Besides, without the current power, how would anyone achieve peace?
Surely the ninja system couldn't do that, and if the plot revolves around part 1 then none of the things like bijuu would ever be explained and the plot would most probably end with sasuke coming back and oros defeat, which would suck.

One reason I preferred p1 was that most of the fights were about tactics and trickery. Not a dbz knockoff

I mean, how are they still considered ninja O.O
