Sasuke using the power of the Bijuu to fight against Naruto is a huge embarrassment. It essentially laughs in the face of all Sasuke's developments, and confirms once and for all that Naruto >> Sasuke.

What pains me most is how unnecessary this was....why does Sasuke need the power of the Bijuu for an electro-Susanoo?

Sasuke barely uses the powers of his Rinnegan, we've actually seen him power-up his Susanoo via Bijuu powers and not the Rinnegan...disgraceful.

It is contradictory but maybe he's trying to show that Sasuke has so completely changed that he will do whatever is necessary to win, when only 2 chapters before he was ridiculing Madara's situation saying he deserved to die for having used the tailed beasts. I guess it's to help emphasize that Naruto has the resolve to do what needs to be done.

Because Sasuke is at a complete disadvantage to Naruto because he has to maintain 9 CT. He probably cannot take on a full power Naruto with that kind of a chakra being used to contain the beasts.

Also if in the chance that his CT does not take on a huge chakra toll, then Naruto and Sasuke are pretty closely matched. 9 Bijuu powered Sasuke is the stalemate breaker, and the win condition.

Sasuke wasn't going to start this battle without a plan, and gambling that he catches Naruto at an open spot isn't how he works. This is Sasuke's character, and always has been. There was a good chance from the start he would use the Bijuu, he doesn't hold himself to codes or ethics.

I don't see the advantage he has in using the bijuu chakra.

Naruto still has tiny pieces of all the bijuu chakra within himself. He could just do the tug of war thing like he did with obito and pull all that chakra from sasuke's susano'o and put it inside himself.

I doubt thats possible at this point in the battle it has nothing to do with smarts. Sasuke is going for the kill while Obito was doubtful due to Naruto reminding him of himself.

Ι don't think that this is wrong. In a previous chapter Naruto remarked that he is not Ashura and neither Sasuke is Indra. That being said, the fact that he went for this technique shows that he is indeed not like him. Besides, it's not like that he gained Bijuu's power through cooperation but by brute force. Isn't what Madara did to Kurama as well and lately to Juubi with the help of Obito? Why you think of it now?
