They aren't by the God tree stump. Sasuke called the orbs (housing the tailed beasts) over from that location.

The God Tree was massive. Hence, the massive stump. During this chapter they're flying, jumping and a bunch of other sh*t. With the size of it, I wouldn't doubt that you could see it from that distance.

Nothing is so large that you can see it from continents away simply by flying in the air a few hundred feet.

You said they werent by it, according to its size, and the distance traveled and how fast the CT came to sasuke, god tree definately is near the valley in which case they are by it.

I doubt they could travel to another continent in a matter of seconds, that would put them at DBZ speed.
But the fact that you can clearly see the tree from the air so close, it means that it is definately nearby and in close proximity, I mean, it only took them a few seconds to leave the tree and get to the valley. The valley is obviously somewhere located inbetween the mountains surrounding the tree.
That would be a long walk back otherwise.

They have gotten massive power boosts recently. Naruto was faster than the Raikage before him and kurama managed to befriend each other. Then Naruto got the rest of the tailed beast chakra, and so6p chakra.
I don't really like DBZ and don't know much of it. But I'm pretty sure kishimoto wasn't the author of that story, and makes the speed and powers in it almost incomparable with that of the Narutoverse.
