Mokuton isn't so great when you have a katon to counter it like Madara did.

It was the scale of golem and buddah that made Hashirama so great, so without that I don't think you would care for it.

Ashura had Gudodama's which consist of earth, water, lighting, fire, wind, yin, and yang all in one.

That's way better than mokuton
