This was never confirmed in the manga that Zetsu had anything to do with it.

He even used the juubi size version while connected to the juubi.

SZ said Obito did pretty well in using mokuton and he can see why Madara picked him.

It was never stated that zetsu aided Obito in mokuton so that SZ fanfic doesn't apply here, theories you got from someone's thread is invalid.
