Well Sasuke has a huge amount of Chakra like Naruto.
I can see why a Chidori of that Magnitude would stop a Bijuu Bomb.
What I really don't get is why Sasuke's sword was broken so easily!

My issue isn't that he has a move that can tank a move like bijuu bomb per say, but the very idea that a bomb would have splash damage and concussion damage that can't be soaked up by a "weapon"

Edit: Or armor for that matter. Concussion damage is a beast in RL.

Yea but I think of it this way. Sasuke is in a flying mobile tank of armour made out of chakra just go with it lol.

susanoo can be an extension of the users/casters abilitys. If you noticed kakashi's susanoo has a similar appearance with his left scar and was able to use kamui abilities tells us that its no surprise. Susanoo is a attack type armor of chakra.
