It has been 1 year, 6 months, and 16 days since last Gintama episode came out. Is it over ? Gintama is the kind of anime that I watch when I have stress in my life. Gintama is the number one comedy/funny anime I have ever watched. I watched up to episode 252 .In that episode every one saying sorry. It was fun. The last episode was came out March 28, 2013. I have searched in google for more information but none of them satisfactory.

I don't think the anime is done for good though, it was one of TV Tokyo's most popular shows in japan. They are probably just waiting on more manga material before making episodes. At least I hope that is the case..

Actually they weren't planning on making a new anime 6 month after they ended the 2011 version, but they have to use something to promote the 2nd movie adaptation, that's why there is only 12 new episode in total of 24 episode in Gintama enchousen,

So i guess it will take quite sometime before they make a new one, i mean they just have to animate that Okita Vs Sougou and the whole shogun assassination arc.
