Now, taking a look at the other picture... that's a different story. It's aligned well in terms of power, though Itachi should be above Kabuto.

Gaara would first set up a LoS (Line of Sight) breaker: A wall of Sand or w/e Giving Gaara enough time to take to the skies (Gaara's is as fast if not faster than Ohnoki on his Desert Suspension)

yeah,i was just thinking about it and got to the same conclusion about gaara reaching out for the skies...that would drastically help him in a fight against A who cant fly and would be left defenseless on the ground while the desert collapses on him....this fight could go in gaaras favor except if A was able to tank all that sand pressure and last longer than gaara could....chances of that are slim though,gaara can definitely win this

with oonoki things get more complicated though...i believe there was mentioned at one time that oonoki should be careful not to destroy a whole island(turtle)....given the fact oonoki could destroy such a vast area it is not far/fetched to say he could destroy a whole area consisting of gaaras defenses and gaara himself.....however this is not so safe to say because as you have said oonoki needs some time to charge his attacks(especially bigger ones)...so gaaras sand barrage could surprise him and outdo him...

but this should end it for gaara i believe

on the other hand a parralelism in manga portrayal could work in your favor as muu(who is clearly stronger than oonoki) was beaten by second mizukage(although it was a draw) and gaara defeated the second mizukage meaning he could have the ability to defeat oonoki as well....i am aware this is A,B,C logic but who knows? maybe gaara is the strongest,maybe not
