How strong would Naruto be if...

He would have been trash tier, whenever Naruto's had to rely on his abilities alone he's been stomped (except his win courtesy of a fart against Kiba and his victory against the fodder mist nin). Let's examine how Naruto would have faired without the Kyuubi.

Against Neji: All of his tenketsu's would have been blocked, he'd have no secondary source of chakra to tap into and thus Neji would have proceeded to either kill him or the fight would have been stopped before that happened.

Against Gaara: No kyuubi chakra to summon Gamabunta? Sand coffin. Dead Naruto.

Against Sasuke: No Kyuubi to regenerate the lung Sasuke punctured and no Kyuubi to physically lift Naruto up off the floor out of an unconscious state to continue fighting. Base Sasuke would have solo'd without his sharingan.

Against Sasuke (Part 2): Naruto got solo'd here anyway, so...

Against Orochimaru: No borrowed power/chakra cloak to shield him from Orochi's sword=Dead Naruto.

Against Pain: No Kurama to break him out of chibaku tensei=Dead Naruto.

I could go on and on here...

Well if Naruto never had Kyuubi, this means Minato and Kushina would still be alive. As the son of the Hokage he would be extremely powerful. His mom would make sure he is healthy and he has enough power to train as long as he whishes. We all know Naruto's determination when it comes to training.
Minato could've taught him Flying Raijin which combined with Senjutsu makes anyone a beast. Good Taijutsu, powerful Ninjutsu, he might have been smarter considering Kushina being there bothering him to study (like any mom does). He would've been the first choice for the fifth Hokage.
As for all the Sasuke plot, maybe many thing could've been avoided considering Naruto would've had support from his parents.
So per total, i think that even though he would've been weaker, non-jinchuuriki Naruto is still uber powerful and an awesome alternate version of him.

Nah not really. Minato and kushina are the suicidal type as we seen. The will probably sacrifice themselves for something else Lol

That aside, without Hagoromo's intervention, he'd be EMS Sasuke level. He is Ashura's transmigration. Ashura has not been shown in the manga to increase Naruto's powers in any way. So, without the 9 tails, Ashura would probably have intervened and given him a power rivaling or surpassing Indra's transmigrant.(Sasuke) On top of this, Jiraya was obsessed with the 9 tails usage. Assuming Minato is still dead and not there to train Naruto, Jiraya would have not wasted time with Kurama, and went straight to senjutsu, collaboration jutsus, ect. Kurama wouldn't destroy his chakra control, enabling him to excel easier as a ninja, and wouldn't interfere with senjutsu training. The result, Naruto would have gotten senjutsu earlier in life, would have more jutsus, would be able to use sick collaboration jutsus, and would have gotten a power up from Ashura, possibly wood style. (how else do you explain how only Hashirama and none of his relatives got it)


With Hagoromo, he'd be in the same spot. He'd have given Ashura's transmigrant the tools to fight off Kaguya, so inevitably, he'd be >=current Sasuke anyway.

Edit: And as crazy as this sounds, he'd still have 6 paths senjutsu, and possibly the rinnegan. Before he had the juubi, Hagoromo had the sun seal. He was shown to have truth-seeking orbs and the rinegan. If he didn't have the extra KKGs of the bijus and their chakra, he'd probably have become the same as Hagoromo pre juubi jin with the purple rinegan we're familiar with.

I think Ashura did have the Mokuton. Mokuton was derived from the God tree, which the Sage absorbed when he became the JJ. He had his children while a JJ.That gives us the reason to believe that Ashura did in fact have Mokuton.

Naruto will use Mokuton.

Narutoʻs character has been massively shaped by his childhood, maybe heʻd turn out the same way, maybe heʻd be vastly different. One thingʻs for sure, his motivation for seeking and gaining these powers has been to protect his loved ones, if he grew up in a world where everything was handed to him, he might not have gained the same respect and value for those around him, and therefore he might be a lot weaker than who he is.
