The coup wasn't doomed to fail. It had a high success probability. The uchiha didn't know itachi was a double agent. Also only a uchiha at that time was capable of beating them. If danzo tried to stop them physically he would have been smashed and the same goes for hiruzen which is the reason why they feared the coup attempt so much because not only would a coup destroy the village Green internally but the other villages would have seen this and would have attacked konoha as well. Thus bringing forth the downfall of konoha which is why itachi went ahead and killed the clan off because he knew what the coup would bring.


Had itachi not been a double agent it would have been successful because there was no one in the village that was more powerful than itachi and shi sui. The hyuuga claim they are the most powerful clan in the leaf but aside from deadly taijutsu they have nothing and all sharingan can read their movements so not even gentle fists would work. Kakashi would have been smashed as well as gai .


Sasuke revolution is only stupid in your eyes. Not everyone in nv believes in naruto's fairytale future where everyone is peaceful. Even in the last shippuden movie naruto knew something was wrong and that was suppose to be IT utopia, so naruto didn't even believe in his peace crap. TNarutois the only thing in his way and from hhistorical stand point whenever they fight sasuke wins and this will be no different.

if the coup had went through the leaf village would be destroyed by civil war or by a neighboring clan. also not everyone in the uchiha clan had a sharingan so your wrong about them stomping everyone.

even if naruto's idea is wrong it, it still is the better idea because sasuke is about to ruin everything
