Extreme Handicap match ups are pointless

You encounter a random thread titled "Sakura solo's the akatsuki". The thread asks, "Excluding Obito, Orochimaru, and Kisame, and Itachi doesn't have his sharingan, Hidan doesn't have his scythes, Sasori can't use his puppets, Kakuzu is unconscious, and Deidara has no hands, can Sakura solo the Akatsuki"?

You answer yes, Sakura can beat the akatsuki in that situation, then OP goes around saying shit like, "Sakura can solo the akatsuki!!!".

....Are you kidding me?

Whats with people making versus match up situations that put the character they want to win in an extreme advantage? The basic point of match ups is to scale the power level of a character and to see how they would do in certain match ups against certain abilities, but if you're going to put at such an advantage just so you can say, they can beat another certain character, then its pointless.

The handicap people will give a character won't be as extreme as the first example I gave, but there are a lot of handicaps that defeat the purpose of power scaling a character. That character clearly could not beat the person they put them up against thats why it was given handicaps in the first place.

"Excluding his sharingan, Tenten can solo Shisui. Do you agree or disagree"?

Yeah they really are. Especially when you put up a stronger character against a weaker one and put severe restrictions on the stronger one.
