Its main weaponry (its backpack of arms) was annihilated. Hashirama abandoned both constructs because he probably didn't have the sufficient reserves to control them, or for whatever reason.

And i was under the impression Madara doesn't have Kurama here though

Hashirama never in cannon used the Great god gates, potentially because he never had it. considering it held the Juubi down I can't see any reason it won't hold down the Kyuubi

Tobirama letting the side down badly though. His main purpose would be putting down Hirashin tags so him and Hashirama don't get cornered and setting up a Kibakufuda.

Irrelevant. At the end of the day, Madara's strongest technique (PS and Kurama) clashed with Hashirama's best (Shinsuusenju) both were rendered disabled, and then they had to settle it in close combat. When Hashirama gained the intent to kill isn't going to change the strength of his jutsu.



There's also this creative idea. Lol. Madara takes his eyes from Nagato and jumps up to god tier and then one shots Hashirama and Tobirama.

I don't know about that. Shinsusenju defeated PS, for some reason it disappeared after the Kyuubi was shut down.
