What's your reasoning for agreeing or disagreeing with what he did?

IMO, I think the uchiha massacre was necessary (only because danzo rigged it by taking shisui's eye) but Itachi made a bad choice with Sasuke. Even then, he saved the village at the cost of Sasuke. But he still made up for it by directly helping the war by undoing edo tensei, and indirectly helped by ending Sasuke's insanity spree.

I can understand his actions in the Uchiha Massacre, but why did he torture Kakashi for 72 hours when he could have just resorted to 24 hours or something? That's something I still don't understand.

The coup could've been avoided if Hiruzen the dumb shit appointed Itachi as a future Hokage. It would've been completely quelled Imo. I agree about Sasuke.

Plot inconsistencies. Just like how it happened instantaneously but people don't realize that and say you can break someone out of tsukuyomi.
On second thought, he probably wanted kakashi out of the way to make his escape easier. Any less time than 72 hours might not have crippled kakashi

1. You can't use koto on more than one person without 2 ms (theory)
2. Shisui might've already used koto with that eye, so it would be on cooldown
