Bcos naruto is the only living person sasuke really cares about and loves. So for sasuke to set an example for the new generation ahead of him for maintaining peace, he will lecture the people that i killed my very best friend naruto, by doing so he will tell everyone i killed all my loved ones for peace [something similar to what itachi did] Tho itachi's case was completely different from what sasuke is doing right now! Don't get me wrong sasuke doesn't love sakura.

Sasuke wants to kill naruto for 2 reasons.
1. Closest thing sasuke is going to have as a best friend. Sasuke wants to break that emotional wall so nothing will get in the way of his revolution.
2. Naruto has tailed beast Chakra in him.
