Question about new Fate Staynight anime

Do I have to watch the previous adaptations of Fate StayNight to understand whats going to happened in the new fate staynight anime?

I personally disliked Fate/Stay night. Fate/Zero was much better, so yeah, watch Fate/Zero instead.

No, you don't. There are three story routes of FSN(Fate, Unlimited Blade Works and Heaven's Feel), all have different plot and all are Canon at the same time.
Main character in all 3 is Shirou but the heroines change. Fate=Saber. UBW=Rin Tohsaka. Heaven's Feel=Sakura.
Last time they 'tried' to adapt was Fate route, but they butchered alot, tried to mix up material from other routes, some anime original stuff, basically fked shit up. So it's better to leave that. Just watch the upcoming FSN unlimited blade works(UBW).

Even though FSN 2006 one isn't totally Fate route, but still gives you the idea of the story in that route. You can watch that if you wanna get the idea of what happened in that, but again FSN UBW wouldn't really require you to watch the previous one to understand it.

While I like F/0 more than FSN but gtta say that you haven't watched FSN. What you watched was 20% original Fate route, 80% shit. Just watch the first episode of FSN Unlimited blade works which will be aired tomorrow.

One thing is that the story in the visual novel of FSN goes in this order.
1.Fate
2.UBW
3. Heaven's Feel
While going through UBW, it is assumed that you have knowledge from fate route. Some of the plot points explained there won't be explained in this route. You can still watch UBW without it, though if you'd ever like to go through Fate route, Best way is to read the visual novel itself. Ofc not many people go that way though.
