Before people get up in arms, yes, I know Naruto is the main character of the series, and yes, I know Naruto was technically the main character of the Ten Tails Revival Arc, but, I've been thinking, what if Obito's been as much of the main character as Naruto, if not more of one, at least in the last arc. I mean, think about it, we've had other arcs with other characters acting as the main, the Immortals Arc mostly revolved around Team Asuma, the Itachi Pursuit Arc was mostly about Sasuke, and I think the Ten Tails Revival Arc was mostly about Obito. When you get down to it, we get his backstory, and we often hear his inner thoughts during the arc, and, unlike previous villains, such as Nagato, we get it all through his eyes, solely through his eyes (as in, it's not another character contemplating his past, or him telling his story to Naruto, we just see it through his memories). If anything, I think the real focus of that arc was his redemption, rather than Ten Tails coming back, it makes sense when put into context, with all the philosophical battles between him and Naruto, his duel with Kakashi, his interactions with Madara, and, ultimately, his Attila redemption, it's kind of like how the Star Wars original trilogy, when put in context, is more about Darth Vader's redemption, than anything else. Does anyone else agree with me?

Learning more information on a character throughtout an arc does not make him the MC. It just means he was an important character at that time.

I agree with you. It was good story-telling to get so much perspective on the antagonist throughout the arc.

My point was that the Arc was focused more on him than anyone else, just like the Immortals Arc was focused on other people, as was the Itachi Pursuit Arc, not all arcs revolved around Naruto, this current Arc (I shall dub it, the Revolution Arc) along with the Infinite Tsukuyomi Arc seemed to move away from Obito and focused heavily on both Naruto and Sasuke.

I already said, Obito is among top 3 main characters in whole manga, in terms of development and importance.

This whole manga revolves around Obito's actions. and as for his importance i'm just gonna copy/paste my previous reply

This panel clearly shows Obito's position, He doesn't have to depend on some mythical transmigration to be relevent, He is the SAGE, representing the balance, and possessing both "The will of fire" and the "Hatred".

unlike Madara who has no relevance to the main characters, Obito is the one who has the most influence in this manga and the lives of both main character (Naruto and Sasuke) via "Nine tails attack" and "Uchiha Massacre"

Obito is the sole responsible for both these events, the leader of Akatsuki and the one who declared War. He has shaped the Narutoverse, and even the haters should be able to see that.

---------------------------------------------

with that said Obito had his d*ck in almost every major fk up of Narutoverse.
