They say catching it early and treating is super important how do you feel about it?
How would you feel growing up with therapy etc?
Would you feel stuck and limited by a label?
How much do you tell your child and when?
Would you feel differently about yourself?
And then There's all the diet and essential oils etc do you think that's bs or has some validation behind it?

What would you do as a parent?

It probably is important. I'm no parent but I don't think you can just ignore autism because you don't want your child to be labeled.

I'm cool with treatment think its important and for those who aren't imagine the difference in your kids abilities with and without it
It's just trying to help them be all they can be and work through their personal struggles like everyone has to
I plan on getting diagnosed and sharing with my daughters (one autism one not) my personal struggles with depression and ED and letting them know most people would probably recieve a diagnosis for something esp. With the more we learn about all disorders every day

Concerning the diet the more wholesome and clean the food the better for anyone but for children with nuerological diagnosis even more important for them to recieve a complete diet as natural as possible
Better brain food = better brain

Essential oils? Special diets?

What world are you living in?

Autism uses different types of treatments, depending on which symptoms the individual is exhibiting and how high or low they are on the spectrum.

Although a lot of Autistic individuals take melatonin, especially during childhood, for sleep.

BS.

Two autistic individuals who are classed as medium-functioning I know, thrived from good parenting with some medical assistance.

Other than oils helping calm before bed I think it's BS too
I strive to be like those parents you know
