Why Byakugan can't compete

The Byakugan is often compared to the Sharingan and Rinnegan and it is constantly pointed out how it pales in comparison of the two.

What the fruit did was 1, give her the ability of the Sharingan/Rinnegan (aside from giving her the actual Sharingan and Rinnegan) which is being able to see chakra and knowing when genjutsu is being used.

I believe this is her using her hair but I'm not sure. I'm positive she did at one point but I can't recall the chapter nor could I find that scan on google.

And 3, grant her immense amounts of chakra.

To get back to my point, the fruit gave her sharingan and rinnegan abilities but also allowed to her manipulate parts of her body.

The Byakugan is just a human (or whatever she is) eye enhanced by the fruit/chakra. This is why it is the weakest of the three dojutsu.

If you haven't realized yet, the Byakugan's abilities are only enhanced things the eye possesses prior to activation.

In the anime, the Byakugan was also shown able to magnify objects to see the smallest of targets in the area and see in infrared to detect a target's body heat.[11]

Near 360° vision = enchanted peripheral vision
Microscopic sight & ability to see over great distances = just enhanced eyesight

It's just another part of her body she was able to utilize.

The Sharingan and Rinnegan came from a God Tree/Juubi and the Byakugan came from a woman (weather she is human or not is irrelevant as her eyes could not do anything out of the ordinary until she ate the fruit)

I actually agree with this, I'm no neuroscientist but the eye sight has increased so much that there had to be drawbacks, the weakness is around the bottom half part of the neck (back) also where the primary vision cortex of the brain is it makes it possible foe receiving signals from the eyes that are generated when light strikes receptors in the retina area. Also where the cerebellum is for the coordination of your body (among other functions), and the visual association cortex that analyzes information and compares it with other senses and memories to create images because these parts of the brain are responsible for vision minus the cerebellum is why that is where the weakness is. These parts of the brain are the highly advanced parts making it possible for x ray vision, and seeing chakra, etc the cerebellum may be responsible for the gentle fist as the way the hyuga coordinate their movements in such a way to cancel oponent's chakra points also extending this accuracy to how they throw things such as kaguya with the senbon. However when the VAC(Visual Association Cortex) is struck the PVC(Primary visual cortex) is also struck which leaves vibrations on the cerebellum due to this when the cerebellum is struck a byalugan user becomes disorientated and can't walk or navigate correctly with the PVC struck they can't receive light in a way that it reflects off their eye leading to a blurry vision and with the VAC struck a byakugan user cannot analyze what they are seeing correctly leading forth to illusions or hallucinations and correct images aren't projected correctly all of these symptoms are seen in the battle between neji and kidomaru notice how neji experiences all these symptoms. It is the Cerebellum, PVC, and the VAC that are responsible for the byakugans heightened vision among other prowess. But that's just my take on it with factual evidence.

It's obviously not of the juubi and doesn't meet the same requirements of the sharingan and rinnegan that need to be awakened while all clan members of the Hyūga can use the Byakugan
