Nope, if you ask anyone from the 60's or 70's they will tell you the same thing. Led Zeppelin is metal. How many metal singers try so hard to reach the vocal range of Robert Plant or the guitarmanship of Page. Not to mention how much of an influence Bonham has on every metal drummer and John Paul Jones coming up with amazing sound effects for the band. If you look into every single metal genre you will see how bits of pieces of the band in some way or form have a big influence from Led Zeppellin

Zepp are just a blues rock band, and no, I don't need to ask anyone from the 60s/70s as that would be "appealing to authority" (fallacy). By that notion even Deep Purple, Iron Butterfly and Blue Cheer should be considered "metal" as well. And if you wanted to be picky, then Helter Skelter would be consodered one.of the earliest forms of metal. That's just proto metal just like Melvins are considered proto grunge.
Black Sabbath were the definitive metal band. The transition from blues/psychedelic rock to heavy metal happened when Sabbath turned up the amp on the bluesy sound.

Yeah Metal is nice.

Alice In chains (this is quite controversial, it's mostly referred to as grunge, but idk, Grunge is just an early 90's Seattle lump together. Lel)
scorpions
Judas priest
Nightwish
Slayer
Pantera
Motorhead
black sabbath
Cradle of filth
Mudvayne

And much more.

I thought that AiC completely belongs to heavy metal genre. First time hear that they are referred as grunge.
Btw, I love Would! :)

I like some metal bands like AiC, Metallica, Megadeth, Nightwish, Slayer but e.g. I don't really like Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden.
So, I don't think I am a big fan of metal music, I just like some bands, I suppose.
