Well technically Sasuke never quite akatski so he's the new leader and taka joined too

Akatsuki means mystery and excitement for me (along with other things) and when those aspects were largely gone about 150-200 chapters ago with their deaths and reveals, they derailed down for me. Before that we even saw likes of Taka lackies wearing their cloaks, they were losing that glory as an organisation.

But "technically" with Taka being alive Akatsuki some members are alive. So they are not completely dead, from a perspective.

The mystery around them was one of the larger appeals to the group, yeah. But even with it gone I was still fascinated by them. I am sure the years they were all together, they must of had separate goals and missions before officially hunting the bijuu.

As I told Kami, I consider them more of allies to Akatsuki. They participated in one mission for them, and the Kage Summit was mutually beneficial. Not to mention Sasuke even claimed of using the Organization at one point or another.

I wouldn't really count him as an Akatsuki, but place him in a similar category as Kabuto. Both allied and helped the Akatsuki, but their goals were different from that of the groups.

The group had different goals themselves:

oro power for his own
konan, to follow Nagato
kakuza just in for the money
hidan for his lord
sasori art??
deidara because itachi made him his *****
itachi spying
kisame... well...
pain wanted peace
obito wanted MT
BZ wanted his mommy.

I get that, but both Taka and Kabuto were such short term allies with drastically differing goals and especially Sasuke, who commented to Tobi they weren't allies. . Sets Taka apart from the mainstream Akatsuki.

Well, you could say that most of them had different goals but no reason to get into details. I was just looking at it from another angle but it's true people like Kabuto, Sasuke and even Orochimaru were only temporary allies but members nonetheless (Kabuto, not so much).

But with Black Zetsu's death, the Akatsuki is finished entirely. BZ was pretty much the reason Akatsuki existed. I had always liked him for the dialogue he shared with White Zetsu but he winded up being a character I really liked.

Eh, feels like they've been gone longer to me but you're right. I liked the impact all the Akatsuki had in this plot from Hidan killing Asuma to Black Zetsu's master scheme (even if that arc sucked). They were a good piece overall, but if you want, you can count Sasuke as the final member since he never technically quit huh? :yeah:

And he never joined either, he even flat out told Tobi that they aren't part of his organization, nor are they allies
