simple if it had not been for the beast of konoha, those two fodder now who are supposedly the saviors in the sages eyes,would've died the moment they meet the sage..
the sage would've said "well never mind the seals madara raped kakashi,garra,minato,obito and sakura your dead and sasuke mind as well stay dead hahaha
gai was so farr the only to beat madz to a pulp only surviving cause of jubbi. gai failed in the killing him department
but he ultimately allowed time for sasuke and naruto get pep talked back alive op as ****, and come in and have shit get worse. i mean come on kishi, if it had not been for gai already being hokage lvl and having the ability to rise it to god lvls
these two fodder would've never had there petty fight over hokage..
