She did not assess the situation. At all. She was still falling down and was panicking like hell. She was also stupid enough not to realize that the ice dimension would help, even if it was for just a second.

She was indeed pankicking but like I said before, Kaguya said "So both of them were Ashura's reincarnate" which means she actually thought Sasuke was really Sasuke. That means she was aware of Sasuke's presence which implies that she didn't realise it was Naruto.

And yes, they are VIZ scans.
