I came up with an hypothesis and I just want to know what other people think before I present it.

In all honesty, I still believe Sasuke has some love for Sakura no matter what he says. I want more opinions, thank you

I disagree. I don't think he cares for her like that, as he himself said he sees no reason why he should.

I don't think so. But at times like one part 1 he can show appreciation in his own way. But no love for sakura at all

He has some level of care for her but he doesn't love her. He doesn't wish for her death but he wouldn't be bothered if she died.

I think he cares about her, doesn't love her, but atp he does someone sympathize with her attachment to the past.

Love is the last thing Sasuke wants to be bothered with right now though

The only reason why I came to this conclusion is because of the slide in the previous chapter when he has a flashback of his family. That made me think.

I feel like it's reasonable to say that Sasuke was teamed up with Karin as long as he was teamed up with Sakura. It was clear to him that they both liked him and he found them both annoying. However, when left the village he didn't kill Sakura, he just put her in a genjutsu, and he did it again in this situation. For Karin, he killed her with no sympathy.

At first I saw it as pity since Sakura was weaker than him, but Karin is weaker than Sakura so I would have expected a similar faith for both of them.

Overall, I only came to this conclusion because of the contrast between how he treats Sakura and how he treats Karin. With his rinnegan, he could have easily killed Sakura and he clearly has no liking for Team 7 since he wants to kill Naruto. He killed Karin without regret and didn't even have her in his mind after that. Idk, that's just what I've been thinking of so far

You are the example of denial.

I believe he can come to love her..he doesn't need a reason like Kakashi said and he did care in part 1, not necessarily in a romantic way, but he cared and showed appreciation. Now Sasuke is just not interested in love, he shut that door long ago thus remembering his family.

I don't think Sasuke has some love for Sakura. He will build that love once he realizes how to accept love after this fight.

I read the words, just trying to interpret the true meaning since this time he had a flashback of his family (and to compare other instances)

“when your happiness is someone else's happiness, that is love”
― Lana Del Rey

You can't call this love. Period.

This isn't denial. I could care less if Sasuke hates Sakura, likes Sakura, is asexual or w.e. I'm just simply interpreting his words, sharing what I got from it and trying to collect info from others to better shape my thoughts
