So I was discussing this with my buddies earlier this morning, I'd like to see different people's opinions

I'm not that deep, so the universe lol.

In all seriousness though, the Universe. We've only just begun to comprehend it, truthfully.

Figuratively speaking the depth of your innerself would only be a pocket of depth within the universe. Your thoughts are the universe. Or are they?

Well the universe is a constant, yet the "inner self" and thoughts are nothing but variables upon unpredictable variables and changes or adaptations.

The universe is just large, the inner self is infinite.

Other way around.

The universe.

Humans are incapable of being or comprehending true infinity. All that we can do is have a basic idea or what infinity is(like thinking about an endless loop of a circle), but we'll never experience it.

A finite creature can never truly understand what infinity is because our logic only extends to our limited experience.

Our cells are not infinite either; if they were, we would be immortal.

We are in the universe but the universe is also in us. This reminds me of the saying; "As above, so below".

Maybe an awareness phenomenon like astral projection is actually your consciousness observing the subtle universe inwardly?

People dont even use their 5% of brain. How do you expect them to know their depth ( ._.)

There's really not a limit to your inner self and human creativity. The only thing that stops you from exploring your inner self is, obviously, yourself.

It's infinite, just like the universe.

I think it's safe to conclude that you're a New Ager. I've always wondered when reading your posts.

You seem really into it, too.

Our inner selves run deeper, we keep thinking. It's not exactly infinite, the universe however is, yes.

Care to explain why you think so? Our possible thoughts and potential for unthought thoughts as of yet (lol) is not something that can be finite.

I suppose if the universe grows at a constant rate then it could be infinite so there's that. The universe is also limited to laws, rules, physical concepts, etc, while thoughts are not.

Ideas do not have to adhere to rules, laws, physics, they don't have to make sense, they don't have to follow patterns, they simply exist in an ever-changing amount not bound by physical reality. They are far more abstract and quite deeper than the universe in my opinion. (Which apparently it is an ongoing debate as to whether it is finite or infinite from what I'm gathering on the internet)
