Recently many people are calling Ace fodder, that he got killed easily at Marineford. But even now, Ace still has the HIGHEST bounty ever shown in both the anime (including non-canon) and the manga. Akainu beat Ace because he had a superior devil fruit, ace was trying to save luffy, and Akainu is the strongest admiral in the manga. You can say bounty is not equal to strenght, well it's very obvious that a weakling can't get bounty like Ace's. None of the shichibukai has bounty equal to Ace's

Ace's death was necessity of the plot, if he was alive, he'd still be a strong guy. The second in command of world's strongest pirate crew is no joke

facts are facts no matter how you look at it. Ace is one of the most overrated characters in the series and this thread doesn't really prove anything as to why he shouldn't be underestimated

-As for Ace He usually overrated I think. I agree he is strong, I'm not saying he isn't. But a lot of people make him out to be stronger than he actually is. Many people would disagree with me but I think Luffy is just as strong as Ace was...maybe even a little stronger.
-And from what we've seen Ace might have not been that good at haki. Since he didn't care to use it.

Ace is underestimated? Don't make me laugh. Ace is the most overestimated character in this section, even more than Zoro. When the Zoro fanboys say stuff like "Zoro=Luffy" and "Zoro>>Sanji" they are almost always just trolling. When the Ace fanboys say stuff like "Ace>Jozu" "Ace>Doflamingo" "Ace is admiral level" "Ace is faster than G2 Luffy" " Ace beats both Luffy and Law at the same time" "Ace>>>Luffy" and "Ace would have become PK" they are not trolling, they are actually being serious. Not to mention that there are a lot more Ace fanboys. Ace is in no way, shape, or form underestimated in this site or even the entire One Piece community.

First of all, that had nothing to do with what I said in that quote and was an obvious trolling attempt so you're getting reported. Second of all, why does Oda have to say "Luffy>Ace" in the manga? If he has to say that someone has finally surpassed someone close to them does that mean that Kuina>Zoro since he never said otherwise? If he never says that does that mean that even when Luffy is PK Ace is still going to be superior?

Ace had Roger's blood and was on the ship of the worlds strongest man...someone who could of possibly made him the next pirate king and the crew was strong enough to protect Roger's last remaining attachment to the world (until marineford)

while Luffy holding the blood of the most wanted man was just a random pirate who the GOV probably thought would of died trying to become something.

The way I see ace's bounty is like being the right formula in the right hands. It's like giving the right weapon to the right criminal as opposed to just having a weapon roaming around. Both pose a threat but one is in under the right conditions to cause even a greater threat.

That's just they way I see things though, your view may be completely different
