[Discussion] Howw would you feel in Jimbei ended up not joining the Straw Hats?

I personally would be VERY highly disappointed!
The one thing I like about the Straw Hats is that every single member is very unique, no one feels like an annoying useless fodder *cough* everyone in the Konoha 11 besides Team 7 *cough*.

Jimbei being a powerful fishman would add much diversity to the crew. I would love to see Oda tackle more of that fighting style, I loved watching Jimbei fight during the War at Marineford. Especially after Oda used the fishman island arc to so articulately symbolize racism and slavery (not the best arc on an epic level but on a symbolic level I don't think any other arc can compare). i think Jimbei finally joining the Straw Hats under Monkey D. Luffy would speak volumes to the new generation and would aide in keeping Otohime's dream alive. Especially considering the fact that Luffy will hopefully or eventually kick Big Mom's ass and make Fishman Island his territory.

Any how would you fellow One Piece fans feel?

I believe he will be just allied with SH, just like he was with WBP.

i doubt he's joining the straw hats. its supposed to be people from the new generation so jimbei joining would ruin that. luffy being so close to jimbei is just like him and bartolomeo jimmies just gonna be one of the allies he can call upon like whitebeard did to all those other crews to save ace

I honestly wouldnt care that much only thing is it would be interesting if he joins the M3, cuz the M3 wont be the M3 no more.

Don't hate me but I actually prefer that Momonosuke join them. I think it would be cool for Luffy to have a young subordinate join the crew. Kinda like the way Roger had Shanks and Buggy. Once Luffy gets more mature and closer to Roger's age, Momonosuke would be a teen, around the same age that Shanks and buggy were when they were with the Roger Pirates. Plus Momonosuke is swordsman like Shanks and I think he could realy benefit from being around the eventual World's Greatest Swordsman Roronoa Zoro!! lol

Yeah but I think them being allied with Law and the Heart Pirates is enough for now. Jimbei brings much more diversity to Luffy's already versatile crew than Bartolomeo, Rebecca, Kinemon, Kyros, or anyone else that people are predicting will join the SHs.

Well if the SHs need to get more members Jinbe is a great choice

He is one of the very few characters I'd like to see kn the SHs, Jinbe or Vivi are exceptions to my not liking any more new SHs at this point because if anyone new joined there would be 2 groups in the SHs the pre TS SHs and post TS SHs, I still kinda group the SHs from East Blue separately from the other 4

It's funny you say that becuase I use to do same exact thing. I view Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Ussop, and Sanji as the MAIN Straw Hats and the rest as extras. But I'm sure Oda and Luffy view them all as members on equal footing and importance. They all have big dreams and help progress the story further. They all feel like main characters to me where as the Rookie 9 feel more like "Team 7 and friends" lol

Jinbe is too old and not a skeleton like brook. A senior alive man like him wouldn't look good being subordinate of a 19 year old kid. Jinbe is older than Luffy's dad, him being part of Strawhat will be disrespectful considering his age

I hope he joins but i know it won't happen. I'm of the opinion Oda decided him not to join now because something will happen to him in the future not allowing him to join the crew. If Oda really wanted him to join, he could have easily done it in fishmen island
