It was overpowered considering that he doesn't need a line of sight to use it. It's pretty much inescapable so far.

Well he doesn't ever need a direct line of sight with his magic since he has elemental sight

In the LN it states even if his opponent has teleporting abilities as long as he has locked on their target information his magic will hit every time. There is a opponent who does make it unable to use decomposition later initially later on, because she uses a method to disguise her information.

Based on how the Episode ended it looked like they were forshadowing a season 2 and based on the popularity of the anime and LN's, we should definitely get a season 2.
