I'm sorry, but Sakura has become truly repugnant

This won't come as a shock to mentally sound individuals, but Sakura has been... lackluster to put it mildly throughout her tenure as a main character. She has no actual backstory or exposition besides a half-assed rivalry with Ino over a boy when they were mere children, she has no concrete relevance to any major person or event of her own accord and is the very definition of a satellite character, every single accomplishment she's gained has been out of left field or completely negated within the next chapter, and she's actually regressed as a person and ninja several times. While she's always been odious since her inception, it came as no surprise to me. I expected nothing more from her and thus, did not become a real hater. She merely bored me and was a distraction.


But her latest portrayals have been especially in bad taste. It was hard enough to stomach her only caring about Sasuke's approval when Madara was the big threat or that ghastly showing at Five Kage Summit where her resolve went to complete shit, but this? It's genuinely too much. It's gotten to the point where she is actually worsening the story and detracts from what is being presented.

Sakura has absolute 0 backbone when it comes to Sasuke. He completely dominates her world and is almost like a puppet-master in regards to her. He's choked her, berated her, brought her to tears more times than Jenna Jameson has been filled with cocks, and has now announced to the world he has no idea what she wants and is completely clueless to what's up her ass. Her depiction as a love martyr is now extremely unacceptable and is making Kakashi and Naruto look like idiots for sticking up for her. While Kakashi, Naruto, and Itachi have shown great faith and trust in Sasuke and paid the price, they at least stood their ground. Told him what's up and held their positions. Sakura, conversely, folds like a cheap lawnchair and is brought to a sniveling pile when he's around.

It's not entertaining to see this; it's pitiful and downright revolting. I, for the life of me, cannot comprehend on why Kishimoto continuously does this with her... it's like he gets his jollies just shitting on her and making her pathetic. There's a line between representing the weakness of humans like Sakura sympathizers say and venturing into mental instability and clinical psychopathic tendencies. Needless to say, this line has been crossed. Holy ****, has it been crossed.

This is pure hogwash because A) it's not true love, it's fleeting emotional separation anxiety marred by fits of obsession and B) everything accounted for in this life is measured by what we perceive and know to be.

You don't pick a favorite by drawing into a hat; you pick one by gauging his motives, actions, and merit against your own and comparing it to what is accepted or approved and what isn't. You don't look at a couple like SS and accept that as a viable partnership unless you have a disorder, because we, as readers, have a set of values that we adhere to and make judgements off of. This defines the entire symbiotic relationship of author and audience and is the very basis of literacy and practicality in general. Otherwise, Hitler did nothing wrong because we can't judge him by our standards. This is not a substantial argument in any capacity, period.

I didn't read the whole thing but....I wouldn't mind this Sakura stuff if she actually had a reason to be "in love" with Sasuke. I wish Kishi did another arc after the Chunin exams where he expanded on the relationship of the Team 7 members so we coud see how he nd Naruto became "friends" and how he may have possibly warmed up to Sakura a bit. Would have made all these situations much more impactful, but oh well...wasted opportunity I guess.
