They're impolite, and bratty. They tend to complain more than they should, and most either are sport freaks or gamers that never do anything else. There are few that like to sit inside and read a good book and balance that with a bit of outdoor activity. In short, they don't know balance, maturity or good manners.
I almost you're projecting your current knowledge and self onto these kids, as if they're supposed to conformed into the people you want them to be, instead of looking at how and why they act the way they do. I can tell you that I was quite similar in that I had a predisposition towards playing games, I mean, I drew video games at school and played outside with my brothers and whoever else was at the parks when we were kicked out of the house or the occasionally time when we actually wanted to go outside. Yet, I always wanted to play Melee, that was the shit, so awesome. I also cannot lie and say that I was always kind, as I had a kinda bad temper. I mean, I wasn't a **** about things, and would mostly be kind and understanding towards people, and tried to be helpful, but I still had that temper, and would hate being distrupted in the middle of some activities, and I still do, although much less severe.
Therefore, although whether or not kids are worse today than years ago is something I don't know, I do know that we were also flawed, it's only that we view our past behavior through rose-tinted glasses.
