The answer is easy:
Kishimoto CANNOT write female characters. They're all weak. The only good female character FOR ME is Hinata. She doesn't need to get saved 24/7 and can stand her own ground. Sakura always has to get saved and be the damsel in distress which gets really annoying after a while. No offense to Sakura lovers, I start going on a Sakura mood sometimes myself, but she didn't really win against Sasori during Gaara arc. If Chiyo wasn't there, there's no doubt in my mind she would have gotten rekt. He had Kaguya, a strong female, literally butchered her character.

sakura needs to learn what love actually is. the day she fnds that out, is the day she stops pining over sasuke. she doesn't love him, she is infatuated with him. when people love someone, there is a reason for that love. there is none for sakura to love sasuke. she was infatuated with his looks and popularity during there school and team 7 days. there was no way for that infatuation to grow into love, because there was no growth in their relationship. there was a couple times when he wanted to save her, but that's the extent of that.

at first i thought it was kishi who just didn't know what love was, so he just wrote what little children would think love is. then you realize that there is hinata that loves naruto. kishi was able to right valid reasons for her love of naruto. so the question remains, why does he make sakura's "love" for sasuke seem so silly?

Sakura fell in love with Sasuke at the academy when their was an Uchiha Clan and still loves Him no matter how offended He may bad mouth Her. The problem is We have never seen Sasuke take interest in any Girl His age,think about it He has an army of Girls who are willing to bead Him down and He has never giving any sines of wanting to have one of them in the Manga except in The Movie road to Ninja were He was sleeping with them left and right. For someone wanting to bring His Clan back He has yet to make a move on a Woman.
