The anime was awesome. I'm going to miss it, hopefully we get another studio to animate it in the future. I think Madhouse dropped the series, it's not put on hold.

Manga is on a long hiatus =D because of Togashi's health conditions, but anime is ending because it has caught up with manga and there isn't enough material.

I just now hope Togashi gets well soon and at least write for 2-2.5 years (there is no harm in dreaming =D)

Madhouse dropping Hunter x Hunter? No anime studio showed the kind of love Madhouse demonstrated to Hunter x Hunter. It's their most popular show ever, the ratings in Japan are extremely high, and always on the top. Madhouse will put this to hold until enough material is put in the manga.
