with this starting distance he can very easily land a blow, which is all that he needs to take out deidara, he can also use his poison gas , 100 puppets and IS to inflict poison on deidara and finish him off, and that fact that deidara canonically admitted inferiority further implies on sasoris winning this

Deidara saying it means he meant it. Whether or not he was using that fact to try and avoid having to fight Kakashi, it's still fact. Even the databook puts Sasori's skills at 34.5, and Deidara at 32.

OT: The only potential problem is C2 but the dragon only flies about 5 metres upward by feats, and the chakra threads are long and if need be, he can use the thick cable in his own body to heighten his position. He could always then use the flamethrowers to harden the clay, rendering it useless.
