So much Sakura hate

I don't think that's the case at all. As a Naruto fan, I'd much rather see him end up with Hinata. Besides her being a female protagonist, she just doesn't have that much going for her. As others have noted, she still acts like a lovesick schoolgirl towards a person that tried to kill her. That to me is why she is one of the most vilely annoying characters in the series. Her only redeemable qualities in my opinion are her strength and her healing abilities, which have both been pretty much reduced to nothing in light of the powers the other members of her team now possess.
