He isn't confused. Sasuke's mindset seems to be one of either a communist or a hippie. Pretty much it seems like Sasuke either wants for only one person to control everything so he can give it back to the people or he wants there to be no government system, currency or anything. Those are the two most likely choices that he will make.

= he wanted to kill Itachi because with the information he had, Itachi slaughtered his whole clan for no ****ing reason, his mom, dad, aunt, uncle, friends, everyone in that clan... dead for no reason

2. Destroy Konoha
= he was told that it was Konoha's leaders that ordered the massacre, so of course he would want that village up in flames, I would too
3. Kill the kages and Danzo
= correction he ONLY wanted to kill Konoha elders at that point, he could care less about the other village kages, they only got in his way. But Sasuke still wanted to destroy Konoha, Danzo just happened to be closer. So his goal never changed.

4. Yes, he learned what truly happened the night of the massacre, from Itachi's POV and decided that the previous Hokage failed in their duties. But then wait, he learned more about the previous kages in general and decided all of them has failed in their duties, so he wants to demonstrate how to truly be a kage to all the villages. And spark a revolution, everyone knows that when revolution begins, you kill off the previous leaders of the failing system, and elect one who will uphold the new, better system.

5. Martyring the kages
= this was his plan throughout the whole war, his plan never changed that's just you making up a reason to bash a character, by which I have reported you for.

Well, to be more precise he wasn't confused like you said,

Scenario One; Sasuke is a completely Itachi's ***** but then Itachi turns out to be the mass murderer who faked everything and killed his parents along with his entire clan, so he want revenge on Itachi.

Scenario two; As it turns out Itachi wasn't a mass murderer and was forced all that pain due to the village and it's elders decision, so now he wants revenge for Itachi, it was the villages fault

Scenario three; Sasuke realizes that not only this village but the entire Kage system is responsible for all bad that happened to him and Itachi,

Scenario four; Sasuke realizes that he can't just change things by killing them and must guide them himself.

Scenario five; Now he had come to a conclusion after hearing hogoromo that the fault is in this entire shinobi system and he has to destroy it completely to start a better one.

It's just Sasuke realizing things and making his scope of revenge bigger and bigger not really confused,except for the first two cases, that was because the information he had was completely wrong,

Scenario six; Sasuke gets talked out of his plan by Naruto, now that is something that will prove he has no mind of his at all.

You just mentioned what Sasuke decides without even considering what changes occur in his life and what he learns every time before making such decisions. It is not like he just makes his choices without having a reasoning behind it. Most of them made sense anyways if you think about it.

You just mentioned what Sasuke decides without even considering what changes occur in his life and what he learns every time before making such decisions. It is not like he just makes his choices without having a reasoning behind it. Most of them made sense anyways if you think about it.

You should understand him if you're a true fan.
