We don't know how far that portal is though......although he came very close to it in just a few seconds. And its just an inconsistency like DBZ characters being able to hear each other talking while flying at subrelativistic speeds which is impossible.

And yeah it started closing as soon as he saw that portal and became very small ....so he had no choice but to teleport to the other side since he couldn't move through that small hole. Its not that inconsistent.

It's definitely closer than something an entire country away. If Sasuke and Naruto made it all the way to the VOTE in such a short time, he should have been able to get to that portal before it started closing.

If you look at the panel at the top right, you will see that he is nowhere to be seen, then in the next panel after that, he is apparently "close" this leads to 1 of 2 conclusions.

1.) They zoomed in on the "lens" of the portal, if you want to think of the portal as a telescope

2.) Sasuke came from nowhere using his foot speed and managed to get close to it.

Alright, the VOTE is on the border of the Leaf and the Sound. The fighting was all happening in the Land of Lightning/Kumo, which is a good country away. At the start of shippuden, it took Kakashi and co 3 days to reach the sand from the leaf. Now naruto/sasuke are clearly faster than Kakashi and his team, but to cross a country in minutes without using any long range teleportation? Yeah......

All incorrect. The portal wasn't big enough for them to see Sasuke through it. In the second panel of the page, the text bubble with the exclamation mark indicates that as the portal got bigger and showed more of the desert, they saw Sasuke. The panel directly under that, which occurs AFTER they see Sasuke, shows Sasuke being surprised at the portal being there. What really happened, in this order, was:

1. They made portal
2. Portal got bigger and bigger, showing more of the dimension as it grew
3. Initially, it was too small to show Sasuke, but it got bigger and they saw him
4. Sasuke then noticed the portal
5. Failed to get to it just by running.

It makes no sense they got to VOTE in another country using just foot speed.

Leaf/sound border or valley of end is much closer to frost country than sand village and konoha.....and that Kakashi was very weak, slow, had lesser stamina (so definitely he had taken some rest in the way too) as compared to Current Naruto and Sasuke. So why are you comparing early Naruto feats with now dimwit. That Kakashi couldn't even handle a single Kamui and ended up in the hospital for weeks. Characters get stronger and Faster as the series progresses. U_U

I don't get whats ur point.....the hokages also moved from konoha using sunshin to the frost in just a few minutes....Naruto climbed that shinju which is far above the clouds and more than a hundred km tall in just a few seconds. So why are u showing that panel(Sakura, Sasuke and Obito one) in which there is no time frame to judge from and those panels may be depicting nanoseconds for all we know. U_U

To further cement how inconsistent it is that they could make it from one country to another in a few minutes, but Sasuke couldn't cross a few meters in time to make it to the portal.

The better question is how they got to the VOTE when the war is supposed to be in another country than where that is. The second Sasuke and the Four Hokages arrived there, Kishi said "**** geography."
