Ok so I'm currently re-reading part 2 (I don't have the volumes for part 1 and I don't feel like reading part 1 online) and I noticed that kishi seems to like this style of panel:

Do you think this is done on purpose (The haku and tobi ones are definitely done on purpose though) but what about the kakuzu one?

Does this mean something in particular?

What are your thoughts on this?

I think that is just kishi trying to show the overall effect of big moments. To make it seem more epic, he uses the 3 frame view which can chronicle the event he's trying to capture from multiple angles.

Oh I get it that he's trying to show the epicness of the moment but I was wondering if they had some sort of connection together. The haku one can be interpreted as some kind of foreshadowing for the tobi one since the exact same thing happens (minus the rasengan) and both deal with unmasking a character.

He also seems to use that style for multiple attacks as well. But not as prominent as one versus one fights.

Without a doubt the Haku and Tobi ones are essentially identical. I think the average member would admit Kishi did it on purpose but for no greater reason than to imply he's harkening back to the old days.

If you ask me, and I know people will laugh at this, its part of the manipulation that has been rampant in the war arc. There are too many things that are greatly out of place in the war arc. There are literally dozens of inconsistences, questionable actions, things that come off as downright strange and images that seem to repeat themselves. The longer this goes on the more my theory sounds like a Tobidara one, but I can't help think these things are done on purpose and this example you brought up is just another link in the long chain.

I won't laugh at you hehe, you are correct. However, please don't mention "that name" here (tobidara) or you know who's gonna come here lol
