If you liked how i met your mother and want a better version, definitely watch Friends. One of my favourite sitcoms.

Cartoon wise, Southpark is really funny (although people who are too sensitive shouldn't watch it) and Family Guy is funny too.

Its not extremely good but it has some really funny moments. Its like super violent humor, some people like that some dont.
