No it's more like it became lost and forbidden ok at a point in time it was well-known about and people use it but when the great flood happened you know the one in the bible alot of people went under ground we were there for so long that when we finally.came back up we had lost touch with it not as.strongly as today. It really became lost when only the priest and royal families of ancient kept the secrets to the chosen few

We've always had technology from the start When the first of the early Humans made a sharp stone to hunt is when we started to evolve technology wise. So no we did not pick Technology over Magic, we've always had it from the start.

No. If it can't be explained by science (via theory or whatever) it's considered magic.

I.e. the world was considered flat, and anything else was foolishness, magic, bs, etc.

Technology evolves
