Why does Naruto like Obito more than Kakashi?

Actually, he grew up as an orphan, wasn't liked by his peers, and Rin was the first person to care about him, he was basically the Naruto of his time.

If that were true, then why did he have his parents with him on a picture? It wasn't some baby picture either. He looked like he was about 7. You are not an orphan when your parents die at that age.

He wasn't liked by his peers because he was weird. Naruto wasn't liked by his peers because of his history. Big difference.

Kakashi also started to care for Obito. Minato always cared, and so did Kushina.

So, people cry because they can't return favors now? Then why didn't he cry when Kakashi died? He didn't return Kakashi's constant saving of Naruto's behind.

Obito's life was just fine. He had parents. He just *****ed over losing a girl.

He did return Kakashi's saving of him, in fact, Naruto was the first one to save Kakashi when he and Sasuke saved him from Zabuza's water prison. Naruto and Yamato also saved Kakashi from Kakuzu's wind+fire combo with typhoon water vortex no jutsu. Thirdly, Naruto saved Kakashi from Pein himself when he 'defeated' and 'convinced' Pein to ressurect him, although I guess that one was after he died already so it doesn't count for the purposes of this thread.

That first one doesn't really count as a save when Sasuke was necessary for the plan.
Naruto returned one favor. How many times has Kakashi saved Naruto again?

I don't like Kakashi. He basically told Sasuke to move on and become Naruto's ***** like himself.
Lol I'm surprised no one has commented on this comment yet. I couldn't have said it any better myself.

Why would I comment on it? Kakashi isn't Naruto's *****. He's had the same ideals since the beginning.

Not so true Kakashi being a b!tch but the fact that he tried to get Sasuke to give up on his goals and stay in a village and be swallowed in thoughts and revenge was pretty foolish of Kakashi to do. Not everyone is like Kakashi and Naruto. If everyone was like them then their would be no plot to anything and it would be a boring world with slumber parties and marshmallows.

I only like Marshmallows. Not so keen on the slumber parties but you get the idea...

Kakashi's been through a lot, but Sasuke's mindset is different, but many people see that mindset as bad and wrong, but I find it to be a sense of resolve and self worth.

Didn't see kakashi dive in front of naruto's ash bone. Kakashi has favored sasuke since part 1, it obvious that naruto's knows this.

OT: Obito and naruto shared the same dream at one point, so that's probably why. They also seemed more similar so they probably got along more, especially after naruto connected to him or something.

I'd watch Naruto even if it was about all of them getting drunk.

I somewhat disagree with Sasuke's mindset, as you already know, but that's just my opinion.

Still doesn't make sense for Naruto to find a mass murderer more important than Kakashi.

So he wasn't an orphan, huh?

Also, he wasn't weird, he was what we would consider a loser, a geek, but he didn't deserve to be hated for it.

Also, Minato and Kushina came afterwards, and Kakashi was worse than Sasuke to Naruto right before Obito nearly died, so that shouldn't count. Also, that doesn't detract what I said, Rin was the first one, notice, his first day at the Academy, Rin was the only person to give enough of a crap to not only greet him, but to pick up his folder too, and she was the one that stayed by his side during the Chuunin Exams. Not to mention, when Minato not only failed to save him or Rin, but didn't even recognize him, I think Obito rationalized that he (Minato) simply didn't care, so he wouldn't either.

He went in rage mode against Kaguya, but that was after crying. Why couldn't the same be done for Kakashi?

Naruto's... pretty retarded.

You only realize that now?

Guess his parents died when he was really young. Still, by this logic, Naruto should also be able to relate to Kakashi in a way, since he had to look out for himself when he was only five. All of them were orphans.

He wasn't hated. He was just considered weird. My point still stands. If he wanted to fit in, he could have. Naruto could not have done so because of his history. The same goes for the people in real life. Some of us are usually loners waiting to fit in. Kakashi was popular because he had skill. Again, it's Obito's fault for his attitude. If he wanted to be accepted, he could have been a conformist. If he wanted to be accepted for himself, he could have just waited, which he did, and eventually did get accepted.

Minato and Kushina still always cared. Obito's always been a bit on the crazy side. My point is, why does Naruto find more importance in Obito than Kakashi?

Well, they likely died when he was a baby, that picture is obviously very old and Obito only looks a few months old, he may have been born either at the end of the 2nd War or during the very beginning of the 3rd.

Also, it wouldn't have been Obito's fault, if anything he was shown to be an incredibly kind child, not unlike Naruto, but, since he wasn't "cool" or "skilled" he was invisible, and, take this from a person that's been invisible, it sucks, knowing no one cares.

We don't know that Minato and Kushina always cared, we know they saw him as a son once Minato became his teacher, but before that I'd imagine Rin was the only one. If you meant me saying Minato didn't care, he did, Obito likely thought he did, as his berating of him seems to imply that he wanted Minato to stop him.

And, you still don't have evidence of this, Naruto was filled with rage and being charged when he learned of Kakashi's fate, and he didn't even see him die. Obito, on the other hand, Naruto saw his entire life, this man could've been akin to an older brother had he not turned (given his dreams and his relationship with Minato and Kushina). I think Naruto was partly sad and proud, proud to know that Obito died as a shinobi he'd aspire to, that after all his pain, he moved past it, and found peace, even in death. I honestly think Naruto may have been more moved than sad, like, I've cried over things that moved me, what could be more moving than watching your once bitter enemy, truly a sad and lonely man, not only redeem himself, but to give his very life to protect you? Pretty damn moving, I'd say.

Obito is closest to Naruto in terms of Ideology, They both gave everything for what they thought was right, defying the ninja rules.
while Kakashi is a walking talking rule book, has no bondage with Naruto whatsoever.

Obito and Naruto are basically the same person, so when Naruto saw Obito's selflessnes just like Naruto, it touched Naruto's heart.

Also this was the 4th time Naruto cried cuz of Obito, not the 1st time.Get the facts straight :coffee:

Yeah, he was born and his parents died, leaving him to be an orphan. The same goes for Kakashi though, so my point still stands.

Kind =/= not annoying. Seems like he was portrayed completely like Naruto; a snotty brat who would constantly prank others and just be arrogant and annoying. Now, Naruto obviously grew up and became more mature, and the same goes for Obito. I know what it's like to be "invisible." It sucks. You're always that one kid who walks around the school without anyone to sit with during lunch. You're that person that's always at home.

Minato and Kushina cared after they knew him. You can't really care for someone you don't know. Still, just like Naruto, people started to care for him.

I know he didn't see Kakashi die, but wouldn't that honestly be worse? I'd rather see how someone I care about dies, rather than being left with this mystery for the coming years of my life. This also doesn't explain much, considering how Naruto was also in a rage state after Obito's death. Why wouldn't he cry for one of the first people to actually care for him, and who's basically his family? Sounds like someone is more important. No, I don't have facts that explicitly state this. It's just a theory based off of facts.

So he's a traitor then? We've been tricked. Naruto is actually about an evil mastermind.

Naruto cried for Obito coz they actually wanted thesame dream. Both wanted the title of Hokage.

forgotten even Minato, Kakashi forgave him also.

That's not at all what I'm saying. Why would Naruto call Obito "the coolest guy" and proceed to throw a tantrum about it?
Minato didn't even look like he cried at all. Was Kakashi even crying when Obito died?
