I specifically called it a theory based on manga facts. You just outright started making up situations and using "person A in person B's place" logic. Nothing close to my original post.

Of course. But why did he cry for Jiraiya then?

Oh well I guess we have our own opinions then

If it's based on "manga facts" show me where Naruto said he like Obito better than Kakashi. At the end of the day they're all friends no one is better than the other

His point was that this whole idea that Naruto preferred Obito to Kakashi is based on extremely flimsy evidence, and seeming anger that he chose to just let it go and forgive the guy, rather than holding an eternal grudge.

I was talking about his last sentence.

There all friends? Why is Obito on the same tier as Kakashi when it comes to importance?

i think the best example is a movie you watched, sometimes you cry over it and sometimes not, i remember me watching mewtwo strikes back.. one day i watch without crying, and one day with.. depends on how emotional you are at that moment

I think he just meant he cared about all of them, in Obito's case, you have to see it through Naruto's eyes, the words said by Jiraiya "In the shinobi world it's not how you live, it's how you die. A shinobi's life is not measured by how they live but rather it's measured by what they accomplish before their death".

You've already seen it once. There's really no reason for you to cry again, or cry the next time. It's not really dependent on how emotional you are, considering how Obito and Kakashi shouldn't even be on the same level of importance.

That quote is confusing. So, basically it's just saying that it doesnt matter how, life is just about results. Those are horrible words to live by.

Because Obito is a much more tragic character Naruto could personally relate to, having "touched" his soul or whatever the f-ck it was he did to learn Obito was just another lonely orphan like him.

No, it means, a person's life shouldn't only be measured by who they were when they were alive, but also who they were when they died. Obito died as a hero that saved Naruto's life twice, as well as Sasuke's, Sakura's, and Kakashi's, thereby playing a significant role in Kaguya's downfall. And, hey, if all Vader needed to go to force heaven was to throw the Emperor down a shaft and call it a day (considering he was likely worse than Tobi), I'm pretty sure what Obito did was good enough.

I'd say Kakashi's life was worse.

Because he saved his f*cking life...

How can people forget this?

Naruto cried because he couldn't return the favor.

I dunno about that. They're definitely comparable.

Lost his Dad to suicide, became friends with Obito only to have him "die" in a way that he couldn't repay the debt, forced to kill Rin, had Minato die just about a year after that, sinker into darkness and depression while on Anbu, saw his student turn evil, found out that Obito had become insane and evil and was the man that plunged he world into war, saw Naruto nearly die multiple times, sees Obito redeemed, only for him to die for real not too long after, discovers that his student (Sasuke) is still evil after his supposed redemption.

So, people cry because they can't return favors now? Then why didn't he cry when Kakashi died? He didn't return Kakashi's constant saving of Naruto's behind.

Because Obito is a much more tragic character Naruto could personally relate to, having "touched" his soul or whatever the f-ck it was he did to learn Obito was just another lonely orphan like him.

Obito's life was just fine. He had parents. He just *****ed over losing a girl.

Because Obito made an speech before he died that was inspirational to Naruto, and he got killed right in front of his eyes. Kakashi didn't die in front of Naruto and at the time Naruto was angry because Pain killed Jiraya, Kakashi etc plus destroyers the village. I wouldn't say he liked Obito more

Nothing more to say.

Actually, he grew up as an orphan, wasn't liked by his peers, and Rin was the first person to care about him, he was basically the Naruto of his time.

I don't like Kakashi. He basically told Sasuke to move on and become Naruto's ***** like himself.
