Here's a better question: Why wasn't Kaguya able to tell Indra's reincarnate (Sasuke) apart from Ashura's reincarnate (Naruto) when Naruto transformed into Sasuke? I'd say plot as well.

What was stopping her from using the acid dimension instead of that lava dimension in her initial attack. ( when she swapped everybody into the lava dimension)
Acid dimension didn't have a cave so Kakashi, Sakura, and Obito would have nothing to save themselves with.
