His crimes against humanity were many including using mind control on a world leader, attacking the hidden leaf thus killing the 4th hokage and hundreds others, waging war and killing several thousand people, killing neji chan and trying to put the entire planet in a coma

But he made up for it by turning into an epic hero near the end right?

No,no he did not and here's why

It was AFTER he was defeated and expected to die he decided to be a hero.he tried to save Naruto using rinne rebirth.he openly despised Naruto.the only reason he saved him is because he wanted to mean something.

Obito has no loyalty at all.he turned after he was beaten and madara betrayed him.so he tries to save Naruto partly to get back at madara and so someone will actually give a crap about him.

How does it take courage to use rinne rebirth when he expects to die anyway?if I was shot 6 times and knew I was dying then I rushed the shooter after I'd already orchestrated the robbery would that redeem me?

So he ends up being used for RT by madara instead and then is told everything that made him evil was setup.so he goes try hard to stop madara.lmfao that's rage people.his desire to help team Naruto was purely driven by his sense of abandonment from maddy

Then he takes the metaphorical bullet for kakashi but it turns out he just wanted to have alone time with rin in a little fantasy world

Also him stealing the juubi for himself was attention seeking behavior

But if Naruto says he's the coolest he must be right...

He changed his mind when he took in Naruto's TNJ. Not because he lost.

How was he seeking attention? He did it so he can control IT because Madara wasn't trustworthy.

Obito and hero? That's the last thing he can be called.
He was wrong and failed so hard with everything.

I find it dumb how people hate on Obito because he was a villain, yet don't care about characters who kill for the sake of killing. It makes no sense to me.

What was there to be untrustworthy about?he was either going to put the world under IT or he wasn't.if Obito did not believe he would,he never would have followed him for 17 years.

Obito was genuinely surprised when madara tried controlling him and when he found out about the rin plot therefore he trusted him.

He saw him playing around with the Juubi like a sadist, that's when he started having his doubts and decided he should be the one to control it.

Obito truly had a change of heart. How could you say Kishi wasn't trying to show that? It's not like he said I'm going to die anyways, so I'm going to do something good. His entire life he thought he was doing good. Naruto helped him show he was wrong. He wasn't selfish, he was poorly guided and a victim of the Shinobi World.

Obito knew that he wasn't a Goody Person, Hero, and an ally of Naruto and Team 7. So the only option left for him to redeem his sins was to Save Naruto and Kakashi from death and indirectly leading the Shinobi world to peace.

I'm too lazy to find the scans, tbh. I'll show you later.

Alright,I'd be very interested in that.and to your previous comment,I hope you dont think I'm character bashing.I'm merely stating my opinions and trying to rationalize Obitos decisions.I could be wrong.

yeah i hate it when people say he is a hero and redeemed himself. But you still have to give him some credit for saving kakashi and helping in the end. It doesn't redeem him by any means and i hate him the most out of all characters, but u still have to giv credit where credit is due.

Obito is neutral. If it wasn't for him, Kaguya would have won, but if he didn't do what he did, Kaguya wouldn't have been revived. It cancels out.

What's truly delicious is the fact that the OP is a fan of Marik, who also used mind control and was selfish and no good, but did absolutely nothing to ever redeem himself.

As far as we have seen, all the Uchiha are selfish except for Itachi and Shisui.

But even though Obito was selfish and was even selfish in his death, he still was able to switch sides and do the right thing. Being selfish isn't always a bad thing.

Plus, if you really wanna get technical, there is no such thing as a completely selfless act anyways.
